Circaevum is a new word, a neologism combining the Latin words “circa” and “aevum,” encapsulating the concept of an immersive cognitive experience that visually represents the cyclical and spatial nature of time. Let’s break down its meaning: “Circa” + “Aevum”
Circa - [Latin] Meaning around or approximately (referring to dates and time). It conveys the meaning of being near surrounding, or encompassing something, either in space or time - they used it more in the olden days, i.e. “circa 1970”
Aevum - [Latin] In scholastic philosophy, particularly in the works of Thomas Aquinas, aevum describes a mode of existence that lies between temporal time and divine eternity. It refers to the state of beings, such as angels, who experience a form of duration that is neither entirely temporal nor fully eternal
Circa + Aevum → Circaevum
Concept: Circaevum aims to provide a structured visual framework that allows users to orient and navigate their thoughts through time’s cyclical and spatial dimensions. By developing Circaevum as a cross-platform spatial computing application for time management, the goal is to foster a cognitive and spiritual engagement with time, enhancing users’ understanding and interaction with temporal experiences.
